As the cliche goes, show me the money. People don’t like gravel pits in their neighbourhood but gravel is needed to build roads and put up buildings. It’s a big issue in the Okanagan and the government finally agreed to review how new gravel pit applications are handled. The only problem is they didn’t fund the study.
